This is quite possibly the coolest tour in town and the only one of this kind.
You'll feel as if you are a real Milanese local as you enjoy a stroll through the buildings of the eclectic Porta Garibaldi/Porta Nuova district that define the city's skyline to the north. Here you'll enjoy everything that Milan is about: design, history, avant-garde architecture and then that great Milanese tradition, the aperitivo!
Our tour starts where the city's boundaries were once mapped out by the Spanish Walls. They no longer exist but the major landmark through which people once entered or exited the north of the city is still there, the majestic Porta Garibaldi built when the Austrians ruled this city. As we saunter down Corso Como, you'll get a feeling for this once working class district, now the habitat of models, influencers and paparazzi in the late evening. We'll also make a foray into the original concept store Corso Como 10 and see a part of it that only a few locals know about.
Then you'll hear about the city's recent history as we take in the staggering achievement of modern city architecture in Piazza Gae Aulenti dominated by the iconic Unicredit Tower built to exceed the highest energy saving criteria.
We'll then relax in style with an aperitivo in an equally sustainable and enjoyable location
An authentic Milanese experience for today's traveller.
